More then 20 years ago we made a firm commitment to Bali’s incredible food culture when we opened Bumbu Bali, Restaurant & Cooking School in Tanjung Benoa. It was in 1996 when we set together with a group of friends talking about work and life in general. The question then come up where to eat delicious Balinese in a safe and comfortable environment. Swiss friends then suggested that myself and my wife Puji should seriously consider to open a Balinese restaurant. At that time I already wrote my first book on Bali’s incredible delicious cuisine and with it the foundation was given.
